Welcome!

Welcome to the website of St. Katherine Orthodox Mission located in downtown Kirkland, Washington. If you are unfamiliar with Orthodoxy or would like to know more, please see the section titled "About Orthodoxy." A book or collection of text can only go so far, though. To understand Orthodoxy beyond historical facts and theological truths requires one to experience it. As the Apostle Philip said to Nathanael in John 1:46 "...Come and see." Our calendar of services and events is available through the section marked "Calendar". If you have any questions please contact our priest, Fr. John, via the infromation listed to the right.

Driving directions and a map of the parish location may be found in the "Directions" section. If you would like to see the liturgical and social life of our parish, please see our "Photo Album". Finally, a collection of links to Orthodox websites is included. These range from web pages of other Orthodox Churches in the Puget Sound area to websites where icons and books can be purchased.

St. Katherine Mission was established by parishioners of St. Spiridon Orthodox Cathedral in Seattle living on the east side of Lake Washington. Our current home is right across the street from Kirkland City Hall. We have services on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings every week, as well as on special feast days. All services are in English. Bible study and an Inquirer's class are each held twice a month on alternating weeks. Bible study is open to anyone regardless of affiliation. The Inquirer's course is open to anybody who has an interest in knowing more about the Orthodox Faith. Please see our ministries page and calendar for details about these and other events.
